What Happens in a Hypnotherapy Session?
The First Session….
The first session can will last between 60 to 90 minutes and will involve an in-depth consultation in a confidential environment where you are free to tell me about your issue. Clients often find this session very beneficial even though I may not use any hypnotherapy techniques until the second session. This initial session is so important because it enable me to understand more about you, your problem and what it is you want to achieve from the sessions. The information gained from this in-depth history take also allows me to write your bespoke Wordweaving recording for you to use in-between our session.
Each session will be specifically tailored to you and your problem. I will work with whatever you present to me because the way you do and experience your problem is completely unique to you, meaning the solution has to be to.
I have a wide variety of techniques to utilise from many disciplines, found to be the most effective tools for change so far. This means I can pick the best technique and interventions for you, enabling you to overcome your problem in the shortest space of time you feel comfortable with.
A session can include the use of an intervention, trance and Wordweaving. Cognitive Hypnotherapist don’t believe a deep trance is required for change to occur. If trance is used in a session, you will be in complete control at all times.
Wordeavings’s are suggestion patterns created by me specifically tailored to you. These unique suggestion patterns help change your perception of your problem, so enabling you to become free of what ever it is holding you back or you would like to change. If Wordweaving is used, I will provide you with a copy of it to use at home.
I will always aim to resolve the root cause of your problem and not just treat the symptoms.
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
It can be difficult to predict how many session you will need because it depends on your particular issue. Many people assume if you’ve had a particular issue a long time that means it can take a long time to resolve it. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is an approach that can resolve issues that have been part of your life for a long time within just a few sessions. Everybody is different but generally, change can be noticed within 2 – 4 session.
